The Century B-VXP36SA-1-CY is the indoor air handler section of a 3 ton VXP HyperHeat heat pump system, on 208/230V with R-454B refrigerant — the volume residential size. The electronic expansion valve meters refrigerant under active control rather than passively like a TXV, which is what lets a HyperHeat system hold capacity in cold weather. Paired with an ECM variable-speed blower and a factory-sealed cabinet certified to 2% or less leakage. Blower and coil slide out for service.
