The Broan-NuTone BCSD142SS is a 42-inch under-cabinet range hood from the Glacier BCSD1 series, built with clean lines and a low-profile stainless steel body that sits quietly under most cabinet runs. It uses Broan's Captur system - a blower and filter design tuned to work together - to reach 97.4% removal of cooking smoke and odor at its 300 max blower CFM rating. Smooth-flow ducting inside the hood straightens the air path, which raises efficiency and cuts noise. Two dishwasher-safe open-mesh filters use high-flow technology to trap more airborne grease than standard baffles at this price point. Hidden easy-flip rocker switches control two fan speeds and two lighting levels, keeping the front face uncluttered. The hood is 4-way convertible: it can discharge vertically through a 7" round or 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular duct, discharge horizontally through 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular, or run ductless with a recirculation kit. The included EZ1 mounting system lets one person hang the hood in up to half the time of a conventional two-person install. ADA compliant. Two halogen bulbs and the optional SHCK44 power cord kit are sold separately; the hood is otherwise hardwired.
