MRCOOL Utility Rebates — Up to $9,791

Every MRCOOL heat pump, mini split and high-efficiency gas furnace we carry that qualifies for a residential utility rebate. Rebates are paid by your local utility, not by MRCOOL, so the amount depends on which utility serves your address and on the model's efficiency rating.

Buying a multi-zone system? The rebate follows the outdoor unit's capacity, not the number of rooms. Look up your condenser model — the DIY-MULTI3, MULTI4, MULTI5 or MULTI6 — rather than each indoor head. The heads and cassettes listed here qualify in their own right on a single-zone install, but on a multi-zone job the condenser is the model that sets your rebate. It is one rebate per system, not one per item in your cart.

In Los Angeles Department of Water and Power territory these models currently qualify for $570 to $9,791, and claims are submitted online. Other utilities pay less — Burbank Water and Power, for example, currently tops out at $2,500 — so if a different utility serves your address, check their own rebate program for your amount. Buy on or after January 1, 2026 and file your claim within 365 days of purchase.
